Students

Whether you're a returning student or new to LHS; whether you want to be on stage, back stage, or you just want to get involved in something extracurricular, there are many opportunities in the LHS Theatre Company (LHSTC).

Every student from every walk of life is welcome in the Lakewood High School Theatre Company. We have a history of diverse membership, from IB to traditional students, from athletes to writers, from musicians to skateboarders, our Company is open to anyone with an open mind and a passion for telling stories.

No egos are allowed! Every member of the LHS Theatre Company knows they are important to the ensemble, and their role may vary: from star in one show to run crew in the next. We work collaboratively to give students a place to belong, and a place to shine whether on stage or off.  It's a place for all who want to work hard, have fun, and build lasting relationships. For those truly passionate about theatre, earn membership in Lakewood High School's Thespian Troupe 1697, an elite honor society of students dedicated to the program and theatre as an art.  More about Thespian Troupe 1697 can be found HERE

We also think it's important for our Company to be involved in the greater school population. That's why we participate in various school-wide events. Citizenship is a valuable skill, and one we strive to foster in the LHS Theatre Company.

Does that sound like something you want to get involved in? If so, fill out the membership form at the bottom of this page and pay your membership dues to one of the directors or the club treasurer within one week of signing up for the club. Dues are $40 for the year and go to purchase snacks for various meetings, end of the year honors, and more, directly for the members of the Company. These dues can be paid to Mr. Smykil, Mr Eatherton or the current Treasurer (Dezzy Sears)

If the $40 membership fee poses a hardship, please talk to Mr. Smykil, Mr. Eatherton, or the Treasurer (Dezzy Sears) for assistance.
